Family Works Roosevelt

Sometimes the most meaningful moments come from a simple phone call.

Recently, one of WABS's longtime partners, Family Works, reached out with a request close to the heart — a family currently experiencing homelessness and living in their car had a son in need of shoes. This morning, WABS was honored to show up for that family, providing two pairs of shoes for their boy.

But the giving didn't stop there. Looking ahead to next month, Family Works is hosting a "Baby Shower" event designed to support new mothers and babies in need of clothing and footwear. WABS was glad to contribute 250 pairs of infant slipper booties to help make that event a success.

Family Works does beautiful, quietly essential work in our community, and we're grateful for the partnership. It's a reminder that community care isn't always about big events — sometimes it's about answering the call when a family needs a little help.
