Meadow Ridge Elementary School

Today we had the joy of returning to one of our favorite schools in Kent—Meadow Ridge Elementary! WABS was thrilled to donate 77 pairs of brand‑new WCK rain boots.

In 2017, a teacher at the school encountered a young student whose sandals were so worn that they had to be held together with duct tape. That simple, improvised act spoke volumes—it wasn’t just about keeping shoes on a child’s feet, but about a teacher’s determination to care for their students despite limited resources. Moments like these remind us why this work matters, and why donations make such a profound difference.

Huge thanks to everyone who helps make these efforts possible. Together, we’re keeping kids warm, dry, and ready to learn—one pair of boots at a time!
